Frequently Asked Questions
What is your address? The main corporate office of IHA is at 575 Copeland Mill Rd, Suite 1D, Westerville OH, 43081. What is your Phone Number? Our Fax is 614-794-3711. The main office is 614-794-0481. Why did I get two (or more) different bills? If you were seen in an Emergency Department, you may receive multiple bills for the different portions of your visit. The hospital will bill you for the use of the Emergency Department itself plus charges for drugs administered, nursing and technical services. You may also receive bill(s) from the doctor(s) that evaluated you and provided professional services while you were in the Emergency Department. If a specialist needed to see you while you were in the Emergency Department you will likely receive a bill from that specialist as well. Can I get my bill reduced since I cannot afford to pay? The Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP) is available through Mount Carmel St. Ann’s. This program is offered to patients who are Ohio residents and are not currently receiving Medicaid benefits, and who are at or below federal poverty income guidelines based upon personal or family income. If you are eligible for this program, you may have your hospital bill reduced and Immediate Health Associates may reduce their bill by up to 50%. To help determine your eligibility, please visit a financial counselor at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s or by calling a customer service representative at 614-234-8888 or 800-346-1009, 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Who do I call to get additional time off work or a prescription refilled? Unfortunately, the Emergency Department physicians cannot provide additional time off work or prescription refills. Please follow-up with your primary care physician or the physician you were referred to when you were discharged. I need to have some paperwork completed for my job/insurance company before I can return to work, where do I get this accomplished? Please mail or fax your information to the Immediate Health Associates, Inc. business office, 614-794-3711, 575 Copeland Mill Rd, Westerville, OH 43081. Make sure that all the patient sections are completed, and that there is a signed consent for us to release the information and an address where you would like the completed form mailed. Can I be seen by a particular doctor in the Emergency Department? In general, no. Patients are seen by the first available physician or physician assistant. On rare occasions, you may be asked to return to the Emergency Department the following day for a re-check of a condition. If the physician who saw you on the first day is also available on the day of the re-check, you may be asked to tell the registration staff that you are supposed to see that physician. How long will I have to wait? We strive to keep our patients from having to wait very long. An urgent care center may experience waits of up to 2 hours during the winter seasons. The average visit in an Urgent Care center lasts about 30 minutes. The Emergency Department can have waiting times as long as 4 hours to be seen by the physician. The average visit in the Emergency Department is about 4 hours from registration to discharge. |
