IHA Announces Dr. David Sestak at Sunbury Urgent Care

Immediate Health Associates is proud to announce the addition of Dr. David Sestak to our team at Sunbury Urgent Care.

Dr. Sestak is a well known health professional in our communities and has been practicing medicine for 29 years. He is a graduate of Aurora University (B.A), Northern Illinois University (M.S), Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) and Ohio University/Doctors Hospital Emergency Medicine (Residency).

"I enjoy the teaching aspect, interactions with people and the happiness that comes with making someone's life better by helping them solve their problems. Nothing is more satisfying than helping others. Nothing!"

His advice to patients:

"Take ownership of your healthcare and your life. I encourage patients to be their best and look at what they have versus what they don't have. I always like to tell folks to be the star they know they are and I like to encourage and recognize people, applaud them for their achievements. I try to make patients feel better long before the Tylenol or amoxicillin starts to work. I want them to start feeling better the minute they walk out of the urgent care, as a lot of the healing is in the heart, as well as in the local pharmacy."

Dr. Sestak enjoys spending time with his family, first and foremost. His hobbies include landscaping, hunting, fishing, sports cars and automobile racing.
